How compression works here

1. Choose one or more JPEG, PNG, or WebP files.
2. Pick a JPEG/WebP quality preset (High, Balanced, or Small).
3. Compress locally — the page redraws pixels with canvas encoding.
4. Download each file or a ZIP for batch results.

JPEG compression

JPEG uses lossy quality. Balanced (0.80) is the default. Smaller presets usually reduce file size more, with more visible compression.

PNG limitations

Browser canvas PNG encoding does not offer a JPEG-style quality slider. This tool re-encodes PNG honestly and may not shrink much. For stronger size cuts, convert to JPEG or WebP later.

Mobile photo orientation

Modern browsers apply EXIF orientation when decoding. The visual result should look upright. Recompression may strip EXIF metadata (including GPS). Treat this as a side effect of redraw, not a guaranteed sanitizer.

Privacy

Compression runs in your browser. BizNavi Hub does not receive image bytes for this tool. Analytics never include filenames, sizes, dimensions, or EXIF.

File limits

Up to 20 files, 20 MB each, 50 MB total, about 20 megapixels, and 8192 px on the long edge. Over-limit files are rejected locally with no server fallback.

Are images uploaded?

No. Compression runs in the browser.

Does PNG get a quality slider?

No. PNG is re-encoded without fake lossy quality controls.

Why did my file get larger?

Already-optimized images can grow after re-encode. The UI warns you; you can still download.

Is EXIF kept?

Visual orientation is preserved via browser decode. Metadata may be removed during recompression.

Can I compress HEIC?

Not in this MVP. Use JPEG, PNG, or WebP.
