Gross domestic product

Add

The total value of goods and services produced in an economy in one year, in current US dollars.

Read GDP as the size of an economy’s output in current US dollars for the stated year. Rankings change when exchange rates or output change.

Current-dollar GDP mixes real output with price and exchange-rate effects. It is not purchasing-power parity.

Compare economies carefully: currencies, survey methods, and coverage years differ. A higher value is not automatically “better” for every indicator.

Latest available World Bank data

Every figure is the most recent annual value the World Bank has published for that economy. This is not a live or real-time feed: the World Bank revises its series on its own irregular schedule, and this page shows what our last refresh retrieved.
