EU Right to Repair
Screen a role and an Annex II product family against the 31 July 2026 application date. National statutes are not filled in.
Manufacturer repair duties apply to goods for which Union repairability rules in Annex II apply, from 31 July 2026. Choosing repair can extend the seller liability period by at least 12 months. The European repair platform interface is dated 31 July 2027.
Only families listed in Annex II are marked confirmed. An unknown family is not a clearance.
The repair duty can sit with the manufacturer or, where applicable, the authorised representative, importer, or distributor. Sellers and repairers follow different paths.
Member State pages are not invented. A country code stays unverified until an official text is stored.
Directive (EU) 2024/1799 must be transposed and applied from 31 July 2026.
Goods for which, and to the extent that, repairability requirements in the Union acts listed in Annex II apply.
If the consumer chooses repair to bring goods into conformity, the liability period is extended once by at least 12 months. Member States may provide a longer extension. That longer period is not encoded here.
Member States identify contact points by 31 July 2026. The Commission is to provide the common online interface by 31 July 2027. Later rollout phases are not stored as a single binding date.
