Foreign direct investment, net inflows
Indicator · Investment
Net inflows of investment made to acquire a lasting management interest in an enterprise operating in another economy, in current US dollars.
Read FDI net inflows as investment into the economy from abroad. A single large deal can dominate one year.
Net inflows can turn negative when disinvestment dominates. One-off transactions create spikes.
Compare economies carefully: currencies, survey methods, and coverage years differ. A higher value is not automatically “better” for every indicator.
Latest available World Bank data
Every figure is the most recent annual value the World Bank has published for that economy. This is not a live or real-time feed: the World Bank revises its series on its own irregular schedule, and this page shows what our last refresh retrieved.
