Regulation (EU) 2024/573 is the current F-gas framework. Labelling, product information, and quota rules apply from 2025-01-01. From 2026-01-01, Annex I gases with a GWP of 2500 or more are restricted for servicing air-conditioning and heat pumps, with a qualifying reclaimed or recycled window until 2032 and no encoded day inside that year. Annex IV prohibitions depend on category, capacity, GWP, action, and date. From 2027-01-01, encoded branches cover selected chillers and self-contained air-conditioning or heat pumps. A refrigerant name alone does not decide a prohibition.
