What this checks
It records the economic operator role and whether the product is placed on the market or put into service. It does not certify that the duties are met.

Teams assigning manufacturer, importer, distributor, representative, or modifier work.
How results work
A known role with placing or putting into service returns that duty category. An unknown role, unknown movement, or neither movement returns review required.
Key date
Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies from 2027-01-20 and replaces Directive 2006/42/EC. Products placed on the EU market before that date remain under the applicable transition rules. Results are readiness screening, not a conformity assessment.
