What this checks
It records an Annex I candidate indication, a Part A or Part B indication where you already have it, standard or common-specification coverage, and assessment readiness. It does not invent Annex I categories.
Who should use it
Compliance leads who need to see whether the recorded facts are complete enough to discuss a route.
How results work
Complete non-candidate facts may show that internal assessment may be available. A complete Annex I candidate may show that a notified-body route may apply. Incomplete or inconsistent facts return Annex I review required.
Key date
Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies from 2027-01-20 and replaces Directive 2006/42/EC. Products placed on the EU market before that date remain under the applicable transition rules. Results are readiness screening, not a conformity assessment.
