A parallel or multi-cloud pattern does not automatically treat egress as a removable switching charge.
Limitations
The screen does not review your contract and does not declare any charge unlawful.
FAQ
Does Ready mean we are fully compliant?
No. The tool is built so that wording stays a readiness screen.
What changes on 12 January 2027?
The encoded ruleset treats switching charges for the switching process as removed from that date for in-scope data processing services. Confirm whether your service is in scope.
What about charges before that date?
From 11 January 2024 until 12 January 2027, reduced switching charges are encoded as limited to costs incurred.
Will multi-cloud egress be set to zero?
No. Parallel and multi-cloud egress stays in the picture unless you classify an amount yourself in the cost tool.
